Apparently explaining his part in Olivia's crossover attempt wasn't enough to satisfy the man's curiosity. Considering the fact that he was half-conscious for the aftermath, Steve can't exactly blame him. Still, it would have been nice to get past "She showed up when I was out on a walk" and "we were trying to help her get back" before being... Attacked isn't the right word, exactly, but it's close.
