Olivia doesn't move or speak until she's certain Steve's not going to - and then she reaches over, picks up the book, and moves it to a table against the wall behind her, out of his direct line of sight. That done, she leans forward, head tilted to try and meet his eyes.
"Steve," she says, her voice low and quiet. "If you think we're wrong... If this doesn't seem right to you, then maybe it's not. Even if it's true in some universe... there are billions of them out there, and this doesn't have to be yours."
